Why Magnum requires every visitor to be 21+

Federal law, enforced through Magnum's Federal Firearms License, prohibits a licensed dealer from selling or delivering a handgun or handgun ammunition to any person under 21 years of age (18 U.S.C. §§ 922(b)(1) and (c)(1); 27 CFR 478.99(b)). Colorado law goes further: C.R.S. § 18-12-112, enacted by SB23-169, sets the minimum age to purchase any firearm in Colorado at 21, and House Bill 25-1133, effective July 1, 2026, raised the minimum retail ammunition purchase age in Colorado to 21 as well.

Colorado's ammunition statute carries a narrow exception permitting supervised 18-20 year olds to purchase range ammunition for on-site use.

This requirement applies to browsing this website, entering either facility, renting or purchasing a firearm, purchasing ammunition, and enrolling in classes or range time.
